Getting to the Start

From Port Townsend, follow the signs to Fort Worden. Enter in the South gate. Turn right toward the east end of the Fort and follow the road along the waterway to the large pier. There is plenty of parking along the beach and for those with trailers any one of two parking lots further out on the left-hand side.

Race Start

9:00 AM One Start. All classes. Both Courses.

Race meeting: Race guide, required reading. Pre-race Zoom meeting for any questions at 7pm Friday, June 17 (optional).

Race Course

The long course starts and finishes at Fort Worden State Park at the Kitchen Shelter. The long course proceeds SE by Pt. Hudson, then across the bay, clockwise around Rat Island and back to the Start line.

The short course starts the same time as the long course, but turns counterclockwise around 2 buoys at Pt. Hudson and then returns to the Start Line.

Entry Fees

$20 SR members and juniors; $25 non-member adults

Ribbons awarded for 1st-3rd by category.

Post Race

Salmon chowder, included in registration fee. BYO beverage.

Camp Sites

Fort Worden State Park. A very popular camping spot with campsites on the beach near the start. Fort Worden runs its own reservation system Web site: http://fortworden.org/stay-here/camping/
