Getting to the Start
From Port Townsend, follow the signs to Fort Worden. Go to the east end of the fort and follow the road along the waterway to the large pier. There is plenty of parking along the beach.
Discover Pass
Fort Worden requires each vehicle parking at the launch site to have either a daily ($10) or annual ($30) Discover Pass. These can be purchased at the Park Office, at the Commons Building, at a kiosk near the Kitchen Shelter parking area, or online.

Online pre-registration: this does not commit you to racing, but gets your information pre-loaded to help the race director on the day of the race. Plus you’ll save $5 on your entry fees!
Race Starts
9:00 AM early start for slower craft on the long course
10:00 AM standard start, long and short courses
Race meeting is 45 minutes prior to each start.
Race Course
The long course starts and finishes at Fort Worden State Park at the Kitchen Shelter, proceeding SE by Pt. Hudson, then across the bay, around Rat Island and back.
The short course turns at Pt. Hudson; start and finish same as the long course.

Members of Sound Rowers and Juniors (18 and under):
