Getting to the Start
Leave I-5 at Exit 230. Follow SR 20 west. Left on La Conner-Whitney Road. Just as you enter La Conner take a left onto Maple. Right at Caledonia. Left at 3rd. St. S. Right at Sherman. Follow Sherman to the boat ramp and parking under the orange arched bridge.
Online registration: you can pre-register without making a final commitment, so please sign up if you are even *thinking* of racing. Plus you’ll save $5! Pre-registration makes sign-ups go much quicker and easier on race day. Bonus – get your name spelled correctly.
The course heads down the Swinomish Channel, west past Goat Island, around “Can C-1” (the green buoy), and returns to the start. If the weather is foul the course may be altered to a more sheltered area.
9:45am early start for SUPs and any other boat that requests it. Contact Rod Sternagel if you would like to be in the early start – especially if your boat speed is under 4mph.
Evan Jacobs and Tyler Peterson, 44:59 in 2009 in a 2x.
Pre-registration discount: Members of Sound Rowers: $10 per person. Non-members: $15 per person.
