From Highway 2/97 to Spokane, (NOT 97A) Drive across Columbia River on Odabashian Bridge. Turn left (North) at 97 / 2 intersections, traveling 3 Miles. Turn Left at State Park Entrance; go past Ranger Shack to boat launch area. Registration located at Main Picnic Shelter/Shower Room near the launch site. Discover Pass is required.

Race Course

Short Course – Little Turtle Tour

This 2.5 mile course starts and ends at same location. Once past Turtle Rock Island (1mi.) turn LEFT heading back on opposite side (outside river channel) to same finish line.

Long Course – Guano Rocks Race

The 5.5 mile course begins heading up river for 2.5mi., then turn left going around buoy at guano rocks and heading back down toward Turtle Rock (outside river channel) with finish at where we started . We start up the east side of Turtle Rock and finish coming back on the west (outside channel) back to the finish line.

Note that life jackets must be worn; or on the boat if flat water.

Very fast, but could be faster!

Entry Fees

Pre-registration discount: Sound Rowers & WPRC members: $15 per person. Non-members: $20 per person.
Day of race registration: Sound Rowers & WPRC members : $20 per person. Non-members: $25 per person.

Race fee includes BBQ lunch during awards presentation.


Ribbons awarded for 1st-3rd by category.

Post Race

Delicious BBQ following the race! Non-racers welcome to attend for $12 per person.
