Getting to the Start

From Port Townsend, follow the signs to Fort Warden. Go to the east end of the fort and follow the road along the waterway to the large pier. There is plenty of parking along the beach.

Race Course

The course starts and finishes at Fort Warden State Park at the Kitchen Shelter, proceeding SE by Pt. Hudson, then across the bay, around Rat Island and back.

Entry Fees

Boats of 1 or 2 competitors:
     $8 per person for: members of Sound Rowers; members of Masters Rowing Association (must provide number); or Juniors (18 and under).
     $18 per person for non-members, non-Juniors

Boats of 3+ competitors:
     $8 per person

Ribbons awarded for 1st-3rd by category.

After Race Potluck

There will be an after race potluck - fish will be provided for the barbeque so bring a side dish to share.

Camp Sites

Fort Worden State Park. A very popular camping spot with campsites on the beach near the start. Fort Worden runs its own reservation system via Fax, email, or US postal mail only - no phone reservations. Reservations can be made starting on the 5th month before your visit.
